Georgia Man Leaves 22-Month-Old Son To Die In Hot Car

Trial began yesterday for Justin Harris, the Georgia man accused of leaving his twenty-two-month-old son, Cooper, to die in a hot car back in June of 2014.

He is facing charges of malice murder, felony murder and cruelty to children. He left his child in the car for seven hours while temperatures climbed to 90 degrees. The child died of hyperthermia.

It’s been concluded that Harris was in major debt and wanted a “child-free life,” according to his sext messages sent to over 30 women, including a 16-year-old, the day his son was killed.

The question the courtroom faces is “Was Harris a cruel murderer, or did he make a mistake?”
