An update on the Chattanooga bus crash tells us that the driver, Johnthony Walker, 24, has been charged with vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving. Walker had no prior criminal history according to the background check. His license has been suspended for a month.

Five children have been killed. Of those, were three fourth graders, one first grader, and one kindergartener. Six children remain in intensive care. Many donors showed up when there was a call for blood.

Officials say the bus was travelling well above the posted speed limit of 30 miles-per-hour, and one Woodmore Elementary grandmother said her grandson had complained about the driver’s speeding before, but nothing had been done.

Woodmore Elementary flew its flag at half staff today.
